Ready to Quit?

Are you ready to quit? Quitting smoking is tough—but you can do it!
Millions of Americans have been able to quit and you can join their ranks. There are more methods now than ever before to help smokers control their nicotine cravings. In the Greater Capital-Adirondack region there are many services that can help you as well.

Please download the following Live Your Life Tobacco Free: Stop Smoking Resource Guide for the Adirondack Region which includes lists of local and on-line stop smoking programs, groups and practitioners, quitting tips, information on Nicotine Replacement Therapies, Medicaid coverage, New York State Smokers’ Quitline services, smoking and pregnancy, the effects of secondhand smoke on children and pets-- and more, even acupuncturists!

If you work in Albany, Rensselaer or Schenectady counties a program located near your worksite may be more convenient. Check out the cessation programs and resources listed here http://www.smokefreecapital.com/quit.asp or contact the Capital District Tobacco Free Coalition at (518) 459-4197 x 322, for a free copy of the stop-smoking programs and resources in that area.

Contact the New York State Smoker’s Quit Line at 1(866)NY-QUITS or 1(866) 697-8487 for a free Stop Smoking Kit.
